How do I create a dog?
To create a dog, you need to open the main menu (the three menu items at the top left).
1. Now click on "Profile"
2. Now click on the plus symbol next to "my dogs"
3. Now create your dog. Only the name can be freely entered, for all other fields there are only two options to choose from.

How do I draw a search area with missed persons in Airscent search, disaster search, or avalanche search?
1. Open the app and click on the desired search type in the bottom bar
2. Click on the middle button to start a search (this button is at the bottom of the map)
3. Now click on "Draw area"
4. Click on the first corner point of your search area
5. Now mark the second corner point of your search area by clicking on the map.
6. Now a connection between the two corner points appears on the map. With each additional corner point, the connection is directly connected to each other. Now set all desired corner points (Note: the connection between your last corner point and the first corner point will only be displayed once you save the search area)
7. Click on the middle button at the bottom of the map
8. Click on "Draw persons"
9. Now set the markings for the searched (hidden) persons
10. Then click on the save button (bottom center) to save the area.
Now you can start the search recording.
Tip: You can change the view of your map by clicking on the map symbol among the bottom buttons.

How do I start a runner trail or a dog trail?
1. Open the app and click on the desired search type in the bottom bar
2. Click on the middle button to record a trail (this button is at the bottom of the map)
3. Now click on the desired trail "Runner Trail" or "Dog Trail"
4. For the dog trail, you will be asked whether you want to directly assign an existing runner trail or start without a runner trail. Click on the desired option.
Note: If you choose an existing runner trail here, it will be displayed to you while recording the dog trail. If you do not want this, we recommend starting without assigning the runner trail and assigning it later after the search.

Why is my search not being recorded?
This is usually due to permission settings. Please go to your phone settings and select location permissions for the RescueDogs app in such a way that the location can always be used.

How do I import a runner trail, dog trail, or a search?
Importing works the same for all scenarios.
1. Open the app and click on the desired search type in the bottom bar.
2. Now open the menu (the three menu bars at the top left).
3. Click on the corresponding option here, where you want to import a file, for example, in Mantrailing "Runner Trails".
4. Here you can now import your file via the import button (bottom center). Please make sure to use a file with GPX format.

How can I track my dog?
There are two ways to track dogs:
- Using a tracker directly connected to the smartphone. In this case, the tracker must be selected as a GPS signal in the smartphone. However, only the dog is recorded and not the person.
- Tracking (as the standard) the dog with a tracker and the person with the smartphone. The dog wears a GPS tracker which is read after the search. In the search, the dog's track can then be imported as GPX. Any tracker that provides data as GPX is suitable.

How do I edit the weather data of my search?
The weather data is automatically recorded based on your location during the search. If they should be different, you need to follow these steps.
1. Open the app and click on the desired search type in the bottom bar.
2. Now open the menu (the three menu bars at the top left).
3. Click on the corresponding option here, where you want to share a search, for example, in Mantrailing "Runner Trails".
4. Now open the search, for this you have to click on the corresponding search and then go to the button "Show".
5. Click on the three dots at the bottom right
6. Now a menu opens, choose the option "Edit information" here and edit the data as desired
7. Then save

How do I rate and comment on my search (only possible for airscent search, disaster search, and avalanche search)?

What is the comfort index
The comfort index uses the weather data and individual parameters to calculate an index which provides an indication of whether a search is recommended for the dog or whether the weather conditions are against it.
The individual parameters can be set in the settings.
The index is visualized using a traffic light:

How do I join an organization?
You can join your desired organization via the menu item "Organization".
For this you need the organization ID. You will receive the ID from an organization admin.
Your request must be approved by an administrator, then you can view the organization data via the same menu item

What are the advantages of an organisation?
Through an organization, you can share data within your team, such as searches or dogs. You can rate and comment on shared searches together. Organization administrators can plan trainings. After that, all members can confirm or decline in the app.

I am in an organization, but my team members cannot see my data, such as my dogs or my searches, why?
This is because you need to share your data individually with your organization.
You do this as follows:
For dogs:
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Profile"
3. Under "My Dogs," you can now click on the dog you want to share with your organization.
4. Among the options that have now opened, you need to click on "Share."
For searches:
1. Open the app and click on the desired search type in the bottom bar.
2. Now open the menu (three horizontal lines at the top left)
3. Click here on the corresponding option where you want to share a search, for example, under Mantrailing "Runner Trails"
4. Now open the search, for this you need to click on the respective search and then go to the "View" button.
5. Now click on the three dots at the bottom right.
6. A menu will now open, choose the option "Share with Organization" here.

How do I create an organization?

3. Now you can create your organization via the "Create Organization" button
4. Now enter the name of your organization
5. Then click on the "Create Organization" button to save your organization.

What is my organization's ID and where can I find it?
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Organization"
3. If you are the administrator, you will find all the important information of the organization directly above under the profile picture of your organization (By default, the RescueDog logo is displayed here)
4. Directly behind "System ID" and behind the name of your organization, you will find a number preceded by a hashtag, which is your organization's ID
Your team members need the organization ID to join your organization.
For this, you need to tell them the number (without #)

How do I accept a user request?
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Organization"
3. As an administrator, you will see under the heading "Members of my organization" your members and the requests (descending from newest to oldest date)
4. If a person has "Request" under their name, you can click on the user
5. Then a prompt will appear asking if you want to admit the person to your organization. Please click on the appropriate option here.

How do I make a user an administrator?
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Organization"
3. As an administrator, you will see under the heading "Members of my organization" your members and the requests (descending from newest to oldest date)
4. You can click on the user for whom you want to make an administrator
5. Now the option "Make Administrator" appears here
Please note, when you make a user an administrator, you cannot delete them.

How do I remove a user?

How do I create a training session?
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Organization"
3. As an administrator, under the heading "Trainings of my organization," you will see the button "Create Training". Click on this button
4. Now you can set the name, location, and date
5. Now click on the "Save" button
6. Now you will find all trainings in the organization overview under the "Create Training" button
Attention: The trainings are sorted in the following order: The training with the earliest date is listed first. The administrator can also confirm or cancel the training.

What is the Operation Module and what benefits do I have with it?
With the Operation Module, you can share your live location as a link with the deployment management in case of deployment. They can track the link in the browser, making it easier to initiate a rescue operation faster. Also, deployment logging is much easier and faster. When using the Deployment Module, requests are processed with priority.

How are my data stored and transferred?
Providing data is voluntary but necessary for the app's functionality. All data is transmitted encrypted and stored exclusively in Germany (Frankfurt am Main). The storage of data is GDPR compliant.

How do I delete my user and what happens to my data?
1. Open the main menu (three horizontal lines on the top left)
2. Click on "Profile"
3. Now click on the "Delete User" button (in the middle at the bottom)
4. Now there will be a security prompt asking if you really want to delete your user, click on the appropriate option here
After deleting your user: The user will be permanently deleted along with all their data. This means that the user cannot be restored.
